ETA quartz movement

Akilles

Recommended Posts

I was looking for a Rolex Cellini and found a good looking one at Watcheden.

The movement is a "Swiss ETA Quartz" and I was wondering if that would mean that it's a "tick tack" movement (standard quartz) that would be an obvious fake on Rolex, or is it a sweeping (almost stepless) movement like ETA?

Have been google it and Youtube'n it but cant find an answer to my question.

Maybe you gent and ladies could help?

You are probably confused, ETA as a company, which produce both mechanical and quartz movements.

If its a quartz, its probably going to tick. There are some quartz movement which doesnt tick but they are rare and the usage in reps are even rarer.

Yes it ticks. However Cellini doesn't have a sweep second, so there is nothing to show it's a quartz.

That´s a good one, thanks, learned something new. If it doesn´t have the seconds hand it also doesn´t make that ticking noise probably. No noise at all? Anybody knows? Thanks
