Akilles
I was looking for a Rolex Cellini and found a good looking one at Watcheden. The movement is a "Swiss ETA Quartz" and I was wondering if that would mean that it's a "tick tack" movement (standard quartz) that would be an obvious fake on Rolex, or is it a sweeping (almost stepless) movement like ETA? Have been google it and Youtube'n it but cant find an answer to my question. Maybe you gent and ladies could help?

Nightwatch
Swiss ETA Quartz should tick, the only sweeping is the microstepper, comes from myota. Rolex BP Seadweller: 4me this has become the best price/quality/visual watch – rep or gen – You can buy.http://www.p-cls.com/rlsd00177-16600-classic-dweller-asian-2813-p-14325.htmlhttp://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_8&products_id=10934 and its such a fantastic, good, unique, awesome and good rep that just for a little more You should get it with the much better movement here (Intime is TD on RWI): http://intime.co/product.php?id_product=1162 It’s a super rep in every way. shirotenshi
You are probably confused, ETA as a company, which produce both mechanical and quartz movements. If its a quartz, its probably going to tick. There are some quartz movement which doesnt tick but they are rare and the usage in reps are even rarer. mymanmatt
Yes it ticks. However Cellini doesn't have a sweep second, so there is nothing to show it's a quartz.
Nightwatch
Yes it ticks. However Cellini doesn't have a sweep second, so there is nothing to show it's a quartz. That´s a good one, thanks, learned something new. If it doesn´t have the seconds hand it also doesn´t make that ticking noise probably. No noise at all? Anybody knows?
