slay
I'd say best to use double sided duct tape. put it on those areas without anthing on them (like jewels, gears, wheels, pins etc.)

FlipLockBuckle
You can secure it to the spacer ring with a slow setting epoxy. What exactly is this spacer ring...how can i spot it? And how do i actually put the epoxy (what ever that is) on this spacer ring, is there not the danger of gluing important party of the movement? And if I glue the dial directy to the movement...sure it's not gonna touch the datewheel overlay and prevent it from moving? Hope you can answer my questions because i really want to get my timepiece to work as soon as possible Regards
Pugwash
And if I glue the dial directy to the movement...sure it's not gonna touch the datewheel overlay and prevent it from moving? This is why you use double-sided tape.
ubiquitous
I glue mine to the spacer ring. The spacer ring sits on the rim of the movement, and provides adequete clearance between the movement and the dial.

I think double sided duct tape won't last very long as im upgrading from a miyota movement and have not the possibility to use movement lever screws, i only have the white spacer ring...means the movement will be held in position just by the dial. what would you propose...some special glue or should i fill the free space inside the watch case with old magazine paper? Thank you for any replies. Regards.

Regards. with old magazine paper? hate to say this...but you may want to look around the site and see how other members have attempted to mod their watches, as i feel that this could go wrong........... my best advice is to just double sided sticky tape to hold the dial down to the movement THEN use double side tape to hold the plastic spacer ring to the dial, that should secure everything together
HauteHippie
This is why you use double-sided tape. Doesn't work as well and can potentially cause problems.
