Mark 17 movement+dial swap

Hey guys,

I have v1 mark xvi with 2892 under the hood. Unfortunately the case wont accept the bracelet. But i am looking the v2 mark 17 with miyota/2813 movement, would it be possible to fit my 2892 + dial into v2 case?

Quick googling says DG2813 height is 5.62mm where as miyota 8215 is 5.67mm, and the 2892 should be 3.6mm.

The movement should fit, but im not sure about the stem.

Will i need a new movement holder or adapter of some kind?

I doupt it will with that stem height difference, is there not a V2 with a A2892?

There is, new a2892 would cost around 350, but miyota would be half of it.

I would buy the v2 w/ the a2892. Swap the parts you want to swap into the new case, and resell the watch built with what what you don't use. I'm sure you could get enough back to make up the difference in price.
