J12 Explorer 214270

Good morning,

Has anyone out there handled one of the new J12 Factory Explorers that were recently released.  A friend of mine is looking for the modern Explorer I and we both thought that the pictures look pretty good.  Here is a link to the watch.

Crumbs mate, would like to hear some more about J12 Rolex myself.  Very impressed with their AP fit and finish, saw one positive review of their sub.  Hope this thread gets some attention.

Hey just wanted to give that link to the J12/gen sub comparison I mentioned.

 

If you want to be the canary in the cole mine, I would say you have a good chance of coming away with a nice piece.

I'm not seeing evidence that past deficiencies have been addressed, other than the return to standard Sub hands (instead of the maxi handset erroneously used in the second generation of these reps).  The dial still appears to be glossy (rather than finished like a Milgauss') and the case profile is still off (too thick in the midsection, insufficient droop on the lugs).
