Elias Livadaris
Hallo All ! It is sometime ago I joined the RWG, but never had the opportunity to introduce myself. I am a long time surfer here, but I thing it is time to introduce myself. I am Elias from Greece. Elias of EFL Officina di Precisione and the maker of Elias buckles. I live near the sea in Athens, Greece. I am 45 years old and I am married with Ersi. I have no kids and I have a little nice dog, Luminor ! My major love, except my family, is watches. All started back at 1978 (if I remember well), when my father bought me my first watch. A Seiko digital one. And the journey began. I bought so many watches up to 2008 that if I saved my money, I would wear a gold Daytona with diamonds on hours (at least). I had a nice collection, all original, and I was proud. During times, I was buying also replicas mostly rolies and pams. A sudden serious health problem in my family and the need to have a lot of money, liquidated my collection and remained only 5 watches. Now, everything is fine and I enjoy more building my own watches and making buckles. I am sure that many of you know me about my buckles. here is the basic sore of them. ----------------------------------- For a long time, I was searching for the ultimate 1:1 gen buckle. I was lucky to have in my hands, a Gen GPF buckle (do not ask how much is the price ), so I found the opportunity to micro-measure it and make mine even better Ver. 1.0 was 002 % different than gen. Ver. 2.0 is 103% 1:1 to gen (unfortunately, I had to give back the gen ) So, in a few days, I will supply the 26mm Stainless Steel Ver.2.0 buckle only, and in a short time, I will have the full range in 26mm brass and the 24mm in Stainless Steel and Brass. Note: the 24mm is in full scale down out of the 26mm Prices will be the same, no change at all See here http://www.homageforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=16917&p=207324#p207324The prototypes The 26mm Stainless Steel Ver.2 Brushed The 26mm Stainless Steel Ver.2 Numbered The 26mm Stainless Steel Ver.2 GPF The 26mm Brass Knife Edge Nickel Plated Ver.2 EXACT AS GENThe 26mm and 24mm Stainless Steel Knife Edged Ver.2 The 24mm Stainless Steel EF-L BUCKLE (I made for myself - NOT FOR SALE) The 24mm Stainless Steel EF-L buckle on a strap Another buckle I made for myself - NOT FOR SALE 8-) The 26mm DISTRESSED Brass Knife Edge Nickel Plated Ver.2 EXACT AS GEN. Faded out nickel plating and brass natural patina!! This is made for a very good friend of mine for his build The Stainless Steel Rusty and Stain Buckle (available only for stainless steel) (.............and the magic journey continues. So stay tuned ) Thanks to make the honor being with you. Elias Edited August 7, 2014 by Elias Livadaris
