Cranky Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I have noticed a few locals, globally speaking, has any one had any experience getting your rep serviced by people in the Sydney area. The issue I have. is that any jeweller would probably outsouce the work, at which time it becomes the luck of the draw with regards to the attitude of the watch maker towards reps and that confiscation attitude that I now must exist amongst a few. Thanks & feel free to PM me.
marrickvilleboy Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I used to be in sydney and provided services for members here. But i've moved to the U.S.A now. There are rep friendly watchmakers, but you will need to look around. Worse case scenario is that they decline their services, nothing will happen to your watch.
ahchard Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Sigh... I am having a hard time getting my watch serviced in nz... only watchmaker I know here is the guy that owns the Rolex AD.... hehe
cornerstone Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Yes, I don't think you would lose your watch, but they may be pricks about it (which was my experience, on top of busting the bracelet (although they may have been carrying on to cover up busting the bracelet)). Apparently there's a great watchmaker out Southern Highlands / Bowral way - but not sure if he is rep friendly (or affordable for that matter). Let me know if you have any joy!!
dangerman Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I'd love to know one in Sydney as well.
david-aussie Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 someone on dark side forum said they found one in st.leonards that does reps....
