dbane883
About 16 years ago I discovered that I could get "higher" quality replicas of watches rather than the canal st toys. I had a contact who lived in GZ China and he would send me emails with grainy photos of various watches. No QC's back then. You got what u got. No returns. But, even by today's standards, some of them were and still are excellent (eg V1 HBB). I have sold almost every rep I own with the exception of my Speedmaster. The first is alwAys special I guess. It originally came with a glass crystal but had it replaced about 7 years ago with an acrylic plexi. It has what appears to me to be a Lemania clone (ST19?). Despite all its flaws. I will never sell it as this is was the genesis of my watch "career". Back in the drawer it goes.
droptopman
Very cool story. I still have my first one too. About 10 years ago 16613 with all solid gold parts. Gold on its worth way more than the piece itself but I will never get rid of it. In fact still wear it. Sent from my droptop using telepathy. GenTLe
But why did you get rid of all your pieces (ok, except this)? That's sad
