Rolex Explorer 36MM Franken - Need Assistance in modification

Hi, I'm in need of a specialist who can help with what I would assume is fairly simple work for an expert.

My good friend give me a Rolex Explorer 36MM Franken with an ETA 2824 Movement. The main problem is the hands that are currently on the timepiece clearly do not match the watch face, they are yellow and they should be white. I have purchased the correct hands for the movement. I also have a spacer that I would like to be inserted into the watch to hold the movement steady. It seems fine right now but I thought I should use it as its available. Also, I have a nice band that I would like to be attached.

I've called on a few watch repair shops in my local area (San Francisco) and no one will touch it, or they will but there is no guarantee that they will be able to complete the work.

So instead of risking it, I'm figured this is the best source to find a skilled and knowledgeable craftsman to complete the work.

Please feel free to call me 415.336.9695 if you can help me out. Many thanks

I agree JMB would be your man. However what yo uare looking for is pretty straightforward, sounds like you need a movement ring installed and the correct hands installed. pretty much any of the repair people/modders on this or the other forums could do that. You should be able to find a watch repair person around your area, I would definitely steer clear of any of the AD's as well as the big jewelry/watch stores. What you need is a guy that's operating a little one man shop in a strip mall or downtown in a small storefront or out of his home. Maybe some of the good folks in the SF area can chime in and help. Also, you might post in the general discussion forum "repair person in the SF bay area. Also search in the old posts.

Thank you both very much, I have been searching through the forums and will track down JMB. You are correct, it seems straight forward enough. I did find one person downtown by Union Square, actually there are a number of watch repair people in that location, all in different suites. One guy in particular said at least he would look at it. I couldn't imagine it being anything but straightforward if you know the trade. thank you again.
