6542 Engravings

Rolex experts please help... Did the 6542 come with Brevet + engravings between the lugs? I can't find any examples of this, only "6542 Registered Design", and serial alone on the other end. Was there a Brevet + which then also had a Brevet + crown?

Brevet, which means patent, was engraved on early production runs of certain models that contain patent-pending features. In addition to the case engraving, the crown would also contain the standard brevet +. The earliest 6542s would have the brevet marks while normal production (most) did not.

Thanks guuys. I am looking at a case set, which I believe originally came from NDT and it has 6542 Brevet+ (In that order) with an underlined gen crown and a 1. 1958 case back stamp. The case is good but I am trying to build a near as damn it build with gen movement etc. so I want authentic. On the basis that the 6542 started in 54 then is the Brevet + plus out of place on a "58" then? From what has been said possibly so?
