Sorry to hijack the tread a bit but would that tudor bezel fit a normal sub case is so it may be a way to make a bond type sub? If you compare the fluting on the side of the bezel with the ones shown here it looks very similar to the old style ones. So if you took a 5512 like this one added the bezel from a tudor above, removed the CG totaly, Ok you sre still left with the crown to find but at least you would have the correct bezel if you could get the right insert???? paulV
I'm sorry Andy but i have no answer on your questions because i don't own the watch myself. I saw the piece for sale on the net and just wanted some advice concerning the price
FxrAndy
I would say the watch was worth £500+ if it is all correct, at least that is waht i have seen them go for on the bay, but i have never seen one just like that. I will repost the question in the rolxe forum and see what they say.
Bigdoggy
Check completed items on eBay. There is a lot of variation in Tudor prices. I sold this SS Tudor Sub on the Bay for $1500.00. I've seen similar watches go for as little as $
Heywood
Most of the Mini-Subs I've seen have sold in the 800-1000 USD range. They seem to be in lower demand and sell for considerably less than their full size counterparts.
Jetsons
Given the age, I suspect that it has the sapphire crystal. If so and in minty condition with boxes and papers, I would estimate around $900-$1K for the full sized model. I've only seen the stainless models offered so perhaps the gold may be a little more. The older full size acrylic crystal models with the Ttritium dials in excellent condition, are more sought after by collectors and range between $1.5K-$1.7K with boxes/papers (Timezone). Great watches and good investments as well. Do you have the opportunity to purchase or just curious? At a good price assuming it's the 40mm case, that would be a darn nice watch.
