PAM 372 & 557 dial cutouts

Not sure if this has been brought up before...

 

Has anyone else noticed that the 3, 6, 8, 12 cutouts font seem a bit anorexic on the rep from the TDs photos?

Yep, they look too thin even without comparing next to the gen.

I got one a while back, the watch was so nice to me I didn't even do a comparison... You'd think they'd at least measure the gen... jeez!

Have the Noob version and it's absolutely gorgeous. If this is true I'm surprised ale didn't mention it in his pam guide

Not to mention the 2 is miss shaped.

I am a professional photographer and can say the difference is in the photos and not in the watch's appearance. The lens in the Genuine Panerai Product shot was done by a professional.  They most likely used a High magnification macro lens which changes the magnification of everything as well as eliminates distortion. The photo was taken with high power diffused studio lighting as well which make the cutouts look completely uniform.   The other photo was most likely taken with a camera phone or at best a low range SLR with a kit lens.  The difference in focal lengths and lens distortion are apparent to the trained eye.   Not to mention the atrocious lighting.  I am confident that if both watches were photographed under the exact same conditions there wouldn't be a visual difference.
