Guys, I have a BP factory watch that has a movement (1st one I ever tried to service) that has an oscillating amplitude: it goes from 250 (+8s/d) to 221 (-11s/d).

What the heck does this mean? Bad gears that do more resistance in single points? Is it fixable?

Thanks, GenTLe

Well it's time to get a demagnetizer so.

The amplitude oscillation goes in cycles of around 2 minutes, if this can say something more...

Could it be a slight bend in one wheel of the gear train. Every time it goes around it gets more resistance at a single point.

Actually that was my thought too...
