spa
This is an Explorer II advertised as genuine. Should the model number (green sticker on the back) be worn off while the rest of the sticker is in perfect condition?
chrgod
Mja.. It is possible for the model number to wear off. It is just printed on the sticker, as far as I know. I guess this is the real deal, the crown and guards looks real, and it has black rings around the hour-markers. Very nice model.. White face Explorer II is one of few modern Rollies I like.. fitmic
I'd say fake. The 12 o clock marker is slightly off to the left.
pro expert dan
the model number is made to wear off, so that it indicates that it is new or not.
Shasta
Its a gen. GMT hand is in correct postion on the stack. If it was ETA or Asian GMT hand would be on the bottom
cortopar
Not necessarily. There are some ETA's with correct hand stack.

fitmic
Yeah, no kidding . . . the guy should be a detective! ; ) Bill It's because I don't know ANYTHING about Rolex. When you guys talk about crown guards, I don't know what to look for. They all look the same to me. I have to go for crooked markers and stuff.
