dimmol
Hi guys, Not really a replica question but anyway: Sometime ago I stumbled upon a watch brand that looked rather interesting but at the time I did need a new watch. Now I am considering an addition to my collection but cannot find any links to that brand. The only thing I remember is that the watches had a crown guard a bit similar to Panerai although more advanced and the brand was established by a guy who was apparently originally a replica watchmaker but later set up his own brand. Does it rings the bell for anyone? Cheers, D

dimmol
No, not Parnis. Parnis is more like a homage brand. The one I am referring to had crown guard that was different from Panerai: sort of a two position crown guard. My understanding was that depending on how you open the guard you could either switch the movement to winding position or to time change.
Ayr
Don't think this is who you're after, but worth a look. http://www.rxw.jp/eng/marina.html No, not Parnis. whosurbud
You should look at LumTec. I have 3 of their watches and they are very Panerai like but with insane lume. They dont have the crown guard, but the head dimensions are almost exact same. The Panerai protective cover fits their M series watches perfectly. Plus their customer service is awesome to deal with. http://www.lum-tec.com/collection/current-models/m-series.html
