APguy1 Posted March 28, 2015 Report Posted March 28, 2015 Hi guys, Just took delivery of the new AP 15400 Miyota and noticed that the AP logo on the dial is slightly crooked and it isn't nice to look at. Does anyone know if it is possible to remove and reposition ? Thanks guys,
SSTEEL Posted March 28, 2015 Report Posted March 28, 2015 Its possible yes, providing its not an applied logo, and a separate logo adhered to the dial by feet being glued from the rear of the dial. To correct, obviously the hands, and dial will need to be removed, and then probably the feet or just one foot may need to be removed in order to realign, and adhere in the correct position. Got a photo?
APguy1 Posted March 28, 2015 Author Report Posted March 28, 2015 At a distance it is not that noticeable but I know it's there now haha
SSTEEL Posted March 28, 2015 Report Posted March 28, 2015 Looks like it could well be adhered to the actual dial face. It maybe possible to manipulate the logo without having to remove the hands and dial looking at that, if the adhesive used is like GS Hypo then it will be flexible, and will allow minor movement with a manipulation tool.
APguy1 Posted March 28, 2015 Author Report Posted March 28, 2015 Ok thanks, I'm sure someone on one of the boards had theirs moved ? I'm sure of it I just don't know where I seen it ?
Legend Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 Ok thanks, I'm sure someone on one of the boards had theirs moved ? I'm sure of it I just don't know where I seen it ? It's a common problem on the 15400 rep and it's a fairly easy fix. The logo can be removed, repositioned and glued on. Sent from Mars using tapatalk
