agreed about the test! I got that with the ceramic diver although none of my reps are ever submerged! ! I ordered 17th jan fron angus so hopefully won't be long now.

How much for the crystal?are they easy to get hold of? ?

I had the quartz and then got the gen, I posted comparison pics on repgeek, side by side you would notice the datewindow well before you notice the rotating seconds and this of course is the same for quartz and 21j.from a step away you would be hard pushed to see the seconds wheel and I thoroughly recommend it

Rep is now sold, I do have a day date calibre 16 I might get rid of, its not getting used with the new gen in the collection! !

picked up this gen grand Carrera after trying the quartz rep for a while-really impressed with both,thought i'd post a side by side photo to compare,apart from sunken date wheel rep is hard to fault I think.might post more pics if anyones interested and will probably sell the rep.if anyone wants the rep I can post on ebay maybe- don't have any feedback on here yet,suppose I may upgrade as ive a couple more reps to get rid of with this new arrival!!

Im looking at grand carrera gens for my 40th coming up soon, either 8 or 17. I like the sweeping hand of the 8 but the twin rotating discs of the 17, I could leave the chrono running I suppose to show of the sweep, otherwise I guess the finish and quality is identical?

I cannot understand people comparing tag and rolex-2 completely different price brackets and target markets!
