rillz Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/6784664/10128285.htm Being sold at Yuki and looks great... But is it fantasy or was there ever a gen rolex buckle like this? Leaning towards a raffles time buckle instead... More gen-like.. Best regards and thanks in advance, R
sgtguk Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Pretty sure Rolex only made up to 18mm but could be wrong I have a couple of these Yuki buckles and I have to say they aren't bad at all, fits in with some of my straps and nato I already have too 1

So the raffles ones are also "fantasy"? Arent they 20mm on the onside?
mcotter Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 That buckle is a fantasy indeed! There are many rep buckles that emulate the 16mm. Gen but the one pictured looks nothing like the gen.the bay usually has a good collection of gen-like buckles for little money! Best, mcotter
Mendota Explorer Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 There are some really nice 16mm and 18mm buckles from a seller in Taiwan. I'm picking up an 18mm for a new handmade strap in getting for my b-day. They look really nice and the price is only $16 or something.

philwongnz Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 What is the cheapest 16mm you guys had paid? In semi good rep quality...
Mendota Explorer Posted April 8, 2015 Report Posted April 8, 2015 Just go to Ebay. That Taiwan seller I mentioned has all sizes for $14.88 + $3 shipping. They look really nice in the pics.

Mendota Explorer Posted April 11, 2015 Report Posted April 11, 2015 I'll look for a link but all I did was Google rolex watch strap buckle and it was the very first Ebay pic that appeared. On my phone search results it always shows related Ebay listings if applicable. The seller has tons of sizes stainless or gold plated.
philwongnz Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 I bought from this seller. The quality is the poorest I have seen, good value for money tho. The underside is not even polished and the coronet is a bit wonky.
Mendota Explorer Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 That's a bummer. They must have used the best pic they had for the listing. It looked OK in their pics.
philwongnz Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Let me take some photos for u. I have gen as well and also the R"C"LEX ones, this is the worst in terms of quality, is cheap enough tho
panermaniac Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Sorry you didn't seem to mention the user name of the Taiwanese seller Here's the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/18mm-Stainless-Steel-Watch-Strap-Buckle-For-Rolex-/281687930077?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item4195e8b4dd
mil04 Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 I found this one for 18mm buckle, but it's on the pricey side: http://www.watchaficionado24.com/collections/18mm-buckles/products/18mm-aftermarket-rolex-logo-polish-spring-bar-buckle
Mendota Explorer Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) ^ That one does look nice. I would hope so for the price! Edited June 4, 2015 by Mendota Explorer
