Actually you'll have to get a case, dial and hands for V72.

Someone managed to fit a v72 in a cartel case but from my point of view it's not the way to go.

DW is MIA so you'll have to look at m2m sale section or buy a phong case.

There was a post here quite a while back about someone who had a case that would fit both a 7750 and a V72. Honestly, I wouldn't count on it, I would try to find a DW or phong case that was built for the V72. And as prdubis stated, you will need a correct dial, and hands. My suggestion would be to find a really good dial and build your watch around it. It's utterly silly to spend all that money on a case and serviced V72 movement and then use a cheap dial that looks like it came out of a canal street rep!! There have been some outstanding Daytonas built here, and I would do a lot of research. The one you have chosen is probably the most difficult, as it was the first Daytona (Actually wasn't named Daytona at first. The original bezels are unobtanium and  if you could find one it probably costs as much as a small car! Likewise finding a proper dial  may be more difficult than a 6263/65.

You've been told you will need a V72 case.

The movement mounts (in the case) for the V72 are in slightly different locations than for the 7750, so the cases are not really swappable. Unless you can manufacture very intricate mounting bridles that account for the differing mounting locations, you need to fit your movement into the correct case. If you have a V72, you need a case made for a V72. If you have a 77xx, you need a case made for a 77xx.
