cavi
Hi, I just received my new to me rep sea Dweller. I am very happy with the watch with one exception, when I turn the bezel, the insert does not turn with the bezel, it turns but not as much. So it is either hanging on the crystal? or just loose? How do I fix this? How do I remove the bezel and the insert?
gingerr6
I think some are pressed fit and some are stuck in with thin double sided sticky tape. You need to remove the bezel and find out you can get the correct tools or VERY carefully prise off with a knife. cavi
I have a decent watch repair kit arriving tomorrow from Amazon Prime.... I might wait till then. do I just apply pressure under the sides of the bezel moving around the perimeter? would a small drop of silicone glue under the insert be appropriate to fix it in place? cavi
16600, I did manage to get the bezel off, and I reinstalled it, the insert did have some sticky crud under it but it is not nearly enough to hold it in place when moving the bezel.. What else cand be used? A drop of superglue? (very carefully placed)
cavi
also, the insert was placed from the top, that looks correct, is it? Only reason I ask is that if it goes on from the top then what really stops it from poping off whenever? Edited June 18, 2015 by cavi
jackflash
What else can be used? A drop of superglue? (very carefully placed) I would go for GS Hypo Cement rather than superglue:http://www.gshypocement.com
