lillo
All the cartel reps of classic OFFSORE 42 mm are more thick that the gen. See in the pic the 16 mm case and in the link the gen case http://www.passions.com.sg/v2/files/imagecache/watermark/files/2964-AP2.jpg Amen Rep is not a Gen !! But I dont know if JF and Noob are the identical thikness Another teme. In the Photos of forum and sites JF in my opinion is more accurate and refined that the Noob Is it just my this my impression ? Has JF heavy flaws in dial, finiture ecc that I dont see in photos ? Thanks to the experts of AP That help me in my choice Edited June 24, 2015 by lillo
jpohl402
Most JF cases are indeed a tiny bit thinner (i.e. closer to gen) than Noob cases! They both have positives and negatives, however. Edited June 25, 2015 by jpohl402

You are correct in general. However noob cases for the 2014 SIHH models have straight chrono guard profiles, more accurate to gen vs the jf, thickness aside. jpohl402
I was unaware of that.... Like we discussed in the other post, neither is perfect - and they both have drawbacks! Such is the rep game, lol

Such is the rep game, lol Yes sir. A mash up of the two factories would bring several rep models closer to perfection. I do think that jf did very commendable jobs on the bumblebee and lebron James though and in general, better production of the 42mm roo vs the noob ones. I like the noob date font and their iteration of the GP series especially. If only jf would change the date font, and improve the datewheel position for some models (GP and schumi for example) they would certainly have a distinct edge over the noob productions! Tinitonsi
This is my observation about the 2 factories. Best of parts (closer to gen). - Case => Noob - Bezel => JF - Bezel's screws => JF - Xtal => JF - Midcase rubber gasket => JF - Crown & pushers => JF - DW => Noob - Plots => Noob; better if you have the Noob Diver plots, they're outstanding on ROO case (Noob & JF) and they fit better the gen strap - Dial => None
