cavi
Ok, so I am going to meet a local watch repair guy who has been in the buisness for over 30 years. Should I be worried about bringing him reps? What I am asking is has anyone had any bad experiences with repair guys who frown on Reps?
Nightwatch
Ask carefully and try out. Many will frown on reps, others don´t mind at all. Always great when You find a real pro that wants to work on them.
pcardoza
Just be up front with him and ask. He'll either help, or send you away.
cavi
cool, that was kind of what iwas thinking, I do have a guy who is great tat has worked on my vintage Omegas, but he is out of state, so it would be nice to have someone local. chronoluvvv
unless the gen manufacturers are paying him enough to swing by their balls i see no problem why any half decent watchmaker won't work on reps my local mall guy is only good for fixing markers and switching the odd strap he doesn't like working on reps which is fine by me since he admits he sucks @ it there's two others - both within driving distance, one's in the ghetto and the other is downtown (which may very well be the ghetto) since i'm rarely able to get to either during the workweek i just end up mailing my stuff out, go figure
