tframo Posted July 5, 2015 Report Posted July 5, 2015 I'm considering a gen purchase of a 1675. After studying all the different variations of dials, cg's etc there is obviously a huge swing in prices. I like the way all of them look so I don't NEED to have a certain year My Budget is about 5k +\- Ideally with a jubilee Is there a certain year that I should focus on that would be in my price range? Are certain years a no-go? Thanks for all your input, thoughts and opinions
droptopman Posted July 5, 2015 Report Posted July 5, 2015 T, I have been searching basically everyday for over a year for a specific 1966 model. 66 was a transitional year so you see gilt and matte dials, small and big GMT hands. Here is a nice quick reference for GMT's http://www.gmtmasterhistory.com/ I see good post 66 examples with matte dials in the 5-7k range frequently. These guys have a good selection http://www.hqmilton.com/search/results/search&keywords=1675/ Generally newer or service parts = less expensive. Good luck with the hunting...
