Chuck P
So I have a gen coronet on the way to install on a DW 6239. If all goes well I will search for a couple more to do my other DWs. Question for those that have done this--can I do this from the front side or must the dial be removed? I have had one DW apart and failed to note if the coronet was attached with a post or not. And getting the dang hands back on and aligned was NOT FUN so I would like to avoid that again if possible. If I can remove carefully from the front I would love to know and tips for dial safety if you have them! Thanks in advance!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
freddy333
If the existing coronet is not affixed solidly, you might be able to finagle it from the front, but I would encourage you to remove the dial & do it properly. Also, be very careful when applying adhesive for the new coronet. Good luck.
508-Fanatic
You'll need a letter from the Sovereign and a blessing by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Chuck P
Shucks, was hoping for a magic solution. I think I will wait for the next A7750 issue to arise and then replace when I have to replace the movement. Given the A7750 in 2 watches, that could be anywhere from 2 days to 2 years.
