Swiss Novodiac DIY insertion tool

Guys, if some of you tinker, you know how it can be difficult to fit back the Swiss novodiac spring, due to the 3 slots in its place:

They are not like the Asian where you can fit 2 sides of the spring and push the free one in the single slot.

Therefore it is difficult.

Well a good way to do it is create a tool. I started from the little copper tube that the fridges use for their thermostat (from a broken thermostat I had around in the lab).

Cut and then shaped accordingly, you have a tool that makes the novodiac insertion VERY easy. 5s and the spring is IN:

The bergeon tool costs like 40$. [censored] them. Free tool here and being copper doesn't scratch the steel around or the spring :)

Cheers, GenTLe

I have used it in the past, but it was leaving some debris on the jewel, and was delicate (easy to snap) :)

Good one! Not all people can easily find such small tubes around :)
