GenTLe
Hi all, I'd like to mod a bit my non-functional-PR big pilot. In order to approach it in the right way, may someone that already did the mod share some information about that task? Like: is the fake PR hand pinion coming from the dial or from the movement? Is the removal/repositioning of the PR hand like any other functional hand? No glued hand or other possible problems to take into consideration? Thanks, GenTLe

GenTLe
You're welcome. Ah Micky, last question: is the pinion attached to dial or movement? Or, in other words, if I need to take out the dial to service the movement, do I need to remove the PR hand or it can stay there? Thanks again
SSTEEL
The hand is attached to a faux pinion on the movement, you don't even need to remove the hand, just simply adjust it. At least that was the case with a couple I did recently.
rolojack
not on BPs. There is a small metal base attached to the dial. Glue is soft neoprene. Nothing on the movement plate.

GenTLe
I confirm what rolojak wrote: the fake pinion is glued to the plate: And a pic of the movement without the autowind bridge. It looks well made
