On rep sunglasses I would worry about the quality of the optics.  Personally I have had many pairs of lower end sunglasses that have given me a headache, so I bite the bullet and always go with either Ray Ban or something equivalent, or maybe a pair of Maui's

Dude, you have exactly two eyes. Don't take that risk to save a few bucks.

I used to be extremely active in nationally competitive sports and I had a coach that wasn't afraid of me. I hated to wear eye protection and one day he said "put your hand over your eye" and I did. Then he said "now live the rest of your life like that".

He made his point. It's just not worth it to screw with your vision.

Pay the money when it comes to your vision. Same goes for survival gear.

I see it the same as wearing a good helmet and leathers on a motorcycle, I'd rather pay in £'s than skin! Take it from someone who lives in the dark, it's not nice, don't risk it! Even the high end ones have the same chappy lenses.
