Stem should be removed in winding position on this movement. Your keyless is out of order now. The winding pinion is not in place. You can try to shake a little bit the movement, that worked once for me. Otherwise you need to disassemble.

Found this on another forum :

"The problem may be in the fact that you are only applying "moderate" pressure, in my experience the 7750 takes a strong push on the set lever pin to allow the stem to lock in place.

The other tip is to always remove the stem in the winding position, where the clutch pinion is pressed up against the winding pinion and prevents it from falling out of place, if you remove the stem in either the dateset or time setting the winding pinion will fall out of alignment."

ahh  lol lovely., i guess i have a bit of disassembly to do this afternoon lol

I have also heard the bit where it takes quite a bit of force to get them in sometimes, I tried that last evening,  but i dont want to force it too much as im not so great with fine adjustments of force, i work with Large equipment that requires a lot of force... I tend to break a lot of things when assembling them in the home lol I find that i tell myself not to pull too hard when pulling a stem into adjustment position haha
