kasigi Posted April 1, 2006 Author Report Posted April 1, 2006 Yeah, I need to get a stand of some kind to hold the tickers as I photograph them.
Bazz Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Some times if you get a little glare on the crystal it can be helpful to remove it. I use this method Click me! I have spent about 10 minutes doing it to a couple of your pics to show you (hope you dont mind). Im no photoshop expert but I find it can help, I also removed some dust with the healing brush.
jimmytim Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Nice pics....I use polarizing filters on my lens
kasigi Posted April 1, 2006 Author Report Posted April 1, 2006 Thanks, Bazz - I've never played around with levels like that before and it makes a lot of difference. As I said - Must get a stand of some kind.
kasigi Posted April 1, 2006 Author Report Posted April 1, 2006 Ooo, I found an old stand that I had. Gonna ask a really n00b dumb question now..... What does LV stand for? We need a glossary!
ubiquitous Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 P.S. Very nice watch!! Is this one of the 21j Asian Subs?
kasigi Posted April 1, 2006 Author Report Posted April 1, 2006 LV = Lunette Verte (green bezel) Ahh, thank you. French? P.S. Very nice watch!! Is this one of the 21j Asian Subs? Sure is, and my first sub!
ubiquitous Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Ahh, thank you. French? Oui. I'm not much of a modern Rolex guy, but I'm going to give one of the black 16610's a try.
ryyannon Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Since Andrrew is such a nice guy do you think he'd send me one too?
kasigi Posted April 1, 2006 Author Report Posted April 1, 2006 If you send him some money, I reckon it's a good bet
t Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 sorry but i think this watch is the badest watch ever a diver watch with green bezel??? HORRIBLE if this watch haven´t rolex brand name... no one will purchase that i am not interested about brand name... because it´s NOT genuine... it is a REPLICA... and than interested me only the design and quality... but what in hell is these green bezel???
kasigi Posted April 1, 2006 Author Report Posted April 1, 2006 It's actually a very nice watch, the green contrasts with the black very well. I think it was a limited edition for an anniversary.
ubiquitous Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 It's the 50th Anniversary Sub... But by no means limited; rather, it's been a regular production model since it's debut as an F Serial.
bigpops Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Congrats Feek. I'm a HUGE fan of the LV submariner. It was my first rep, and I had two of them until very recently. I love the large hour marker, fat hands, and the lovely metallic green bezel. It's a future classic IMO. If i had the means, i'd buy the gen in a blink of an eye. I also had Andrews black version of your LV (21j asian auto, with the nice CGs), so i know what a bargain they are. I can't wait to get my next watch from Andrew. It's on its way, and it's one of those lovely 4th Gen Planet Oceans...... <Homer>Mmmmm. Planet Ocean.</Homer>
