Hi Guys,

 

My favorite watches will always be The Tudor Submariners.

 

So in March 2023 my first Build  in years was one of the last iconic Submariners that Tudor ever made, Ref 79090!

Was there any modification need to put a gen 703 crown..?

I'm looking at doing the same with my build, but have heard I need to change the tube and drill the hole and retap for the tube.

So curious if it is a straight swap.

Lovely build bro. Absolutely my favourite submariner also.

Would a 3 x 3.5mm tap be the correct size.? What lubricant would u recommend I use.? Just any cutting oil or would wd40 work?

Since this type of work is neither high speed nor high torque, any oil will do. Just be sure to keep the tap straight (ie, be careful not to misthread) & work easy, steady & slow.
