Have you considered replacing the entire balance with a gen? I have seen used balances on ebay from reliable sellers for as low as $300 (though most run between $350-$400). As for a replacement, you can probably find them on Alibaba & other Asian shopping sites. Or, you might check with the seller & ask them to source a replacement for you. If yours came out of a NOOB pre-2021 its a "SA" I bought a VR to replace a NOOB SA (that had the CHS issue). Only to find: The NOOB SA Hand Sizes were NOT Interchangable with Gen. Edit to add DD or Dangdong is the newest kid on the block and is supposedly exclusive to CLEAN Factory. Full 70hr power reserve. So DD and Vx has essentially taken over for SH. It has the same purple spring as the one I removed. $20 solution. The balance staff is the first part I encountered that doesn't fit with a Rolex part.
