Closed Factory Omega Seamaster

I’ve had a closed factory Seamaster for years now. It ‘was’ a Bond 40th Anniversary model but had long since changed to a PO/Seamaster hybrid. 
 

Does anyone else have a closed factory Seamaster? Asking as I’d like to know if the case backs are interchangeable with gens. A member here did a swap with me, but my caseback doesn’t fit his watch (I don’t know the factory of his watch). So that’s not going through. 
 

If a gen fits mine, I may go and buy a gen caseback if I can find one at a sensible price.

You might find it easier to purchase an entire gen (or gen-spec, aftermarket) case rather than just a case back, which would also eliminate the question of whether the back would fit the case. & -- as a bonus -- you would end up with 1 less potential tell in the process.
