flavor flav
holy crap! don't try this at home unless you have ALOT of patience! had to cut off one of the feet as the holes didn't line up and glue it to the dial from the back. it's so small and hard to handle but the results are good. it's funny even though the silix dial is completely wrong font placement too big numbers ect.. it's much better quality and finish than the 1:1 dial and i think it looks better. but accuracy comes first so i did the swap while waiting for my crystals to get done with the double AR coating. i still have my white dial to do yet. i may wait a few days to start as this one was no fun at all! overall the cross looks alot better but is a bit too big compared to the genuine... still WAY better then the clover it came with. on the left is the doner dial from silix. supermanx
It's to bad you couldn't transplant the date window too.
flavor flav
It's to bad you couldn't transplant the date window too. really...... the silix dial looks way better with the correct date window and the finish is more uniform. i like the big polished numerals better than the gen and 1:1 dial. just stands out more. i guess i got it as good as it's going to get. flavor flav
just finished the white dial which was much easier because you can see the holes in the dial to mount the cross.
Craytonic
I have the new and old rep; I think the old rep dial looks better than the gen
HauteHippie
Hmm.. Maybe what we should have done is transplanted the numbers from the 1:1 dial over to the Silix dial!!! P.S. I stand by my old claim that the date window shape is too subtle to be noticed.
Craytonic
I believe the ugly new numbers are more accurate
flavor flav
I believe the ugly new numbers are more accurate they are more accurate. but the old dial has such a nicer finish! the markers sparkle in the light while the 1:1 is almost a matte finish. no bling. HauteHippie
I believe the ugly new numbers are more accurate Right, that's why I say transfer them over to the Silix dial and remove the Silix numbers... Although I was kidding. Actually the Silix markers look way off to me also.

flavor flav
Thanks FF. Can you advise how to pop the crystal of the case? Would like to get the double AR done as well. Thanks. get a $35 crystal press off ebay and pull the movement first. pops out very easy. it should pop out with your thumbs but you will need the press to get it back in straight and watertight.
