Spoooooonz
Do the replica release valves function the same way as they do in genuine watches?
andreww
Not usually. Some are for show only. Some, have all working parts but are missing gaskets. The environment that a helium valve is used is far beyond what your rep will withstand anyway.
ubiquitous
I had one of the old Breitling Ti Seawolf reps with a "functioning" He valve... I have no idea if it would really be functional for it's purpose, however. Just kind of a neat 'gimmick' in my opinion.
Pugwash
Do the replica release valves function the same way as they do in genuine watches? I can guarantee you no-one can answer this as no-one has tested it. If you need a fully working He valve, buy a cheap gen dive watch, like the SUG Nautilus. Torques
I can guarantee you no-one can answer this as no-one has tested it. If you need a fully working He valve, buy a cheap gen dive watch, like the SUG Nautilus. I have been in chambers before under pressure beneath the ocean. There is tons of humidity in there. I wonder how well the inside of the watch would hold up especially in a salt environment.
Spoooooonz
When I mean functional I mean in terms of actually being a valve, I have no expectation of it performing under pressure.
