Rxus
I hear memebrs mention that there is a newer or different version of the classic SMP? If so, what are the differences..anybody got pics to compare old vs new? Someone in anotehr thread already mentioned a missing hour marker, but not sure if this was an isolated inccident. smalls
I'm not sure if this is the one that all the members are talking about, but the Omega website shows the SMP with Seamaster written in red directly underneath Omega, also I believe the caseback is different now. I really want an SMP but am holding off for a few months to see if this version is coming out
Rxus
Actually I was reffering to the classic "bond" SMP in blue...Ive only managed to get bits and pieces of the story but so far I think the factory that made them originally closed? and the new version (of the classic design) arent the same. Not sure if this is a quality issue of if it's actual details of the watch that are incorrect on this "new" version when comapred to the previous SMP If any veteran would like to clarify this info...I would be very gratefull
By-Tor
The "closed factory" version was 007 Special Edition watch... not the standard SMP. It turned out to be a hoax (partly). It had Seagull movement insted of ETA (as advertised). This is the old replica version of the SMP (my watch). The new ones aren't quite as accurate. Perhaps you could try buying one of these from the members (put a post to the request section). And no... I'm not selling mine.
