68mustang
I've got an ETA 2824 movement and want to replace the dial. Getting it out of the case was easy enough. Removing the hands was not that difficult (presto tool worked well). But, how do I remove the dial from the movement? I searched and couldn't find an answer. Any help is appreciated. 68Mustang
slickdick
there are tiny clamps just below the main plate on the side of the movement, you have to push them outwards with a tiny screwdriver. if i am correct The Zigmeister explained it somewhere with pics, search for post by 'The Zigmeisterzumba'. GhostfaceZX
The clamps actually look like fishhooks that are facing outwards. There should be 2 of them total on opposite sides of the dial. Hook your small screwdriver and pry it outwards, imagining the fishhook eyelet as the axis you rotate it on. The dial is held in by the pressure on top of the fishhook like thing squeezing on the very end of the dial feet.
