All of the cases are solid s/s, but the grade is better on the "prime" items and the bands tend to be pretty poor (bad engraving and bad end links) on the asia ones.

I think you should spring for an ETA if you want your timepiece to last a long time. The cheaper models make good novelty gifts, that's all I can think of...

How much difference? About $75. :D

The Watch Silix watches are mind-bendingly cheap, but they're not for us. They're for people who just want something approximate.

Regarding the pics the only signficant difference I spot is the magnification of the date. Apart from that, they look identical to me.

I know I can ask Silix directly about case material, bracelet etc but it would be interesting to hear other people experiences first. If the Asian version is as good and with only a cheaper movement, it does sound like a good deal.

I've purchased from Watch-Silix and what I've gotten, basically, was trinkets. That's what I paid for. Paper thin crowns on PAM's, movements that stick from time to time on others.

Silix Prime has the quality goods. On a par with any dealer.
