Davey Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 All of the cases are solid s/s, but the grade is better on the "prime" items and the bands tend to be pretty poor (bad engraving and bad end links) on the asia ones.
Corgi Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 I think you should spring for an ETA if you want your timepiece to last a long time. The cheaper models make good novelty gifts, that's all I can think of...
Pugwash Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 How much difference? About $75. The Watch Silix watches are mind-bendingly cheap, but they're not for us. They're for people who just want something approximate.
fotoman Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 this isn't like josh's asians where its the same watch with a different movement.

bres3000 Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 Regarding the pics the only signficant difference I spot is the magnification of the date. Apart from that, they look identical to me. I know I can ask Silix directly about case material, bracelet etc but it would be interesting to hear other people experiences first. If the Asian version is as good and with only a cheaper movement, it does sound like a good deal. //M I've purchased from Watch-Silix and what I've gotten, basically, was trinkets. That's what I paid for. Paper thin crowns on PAM's, movements that stick from time to time on others. Silix Prime has the quality goods. On a par with any dealer.
