Rolex Crowns Interchangabilty?

I got a Vintage Daytona form a trusted dealer and to my dismay it has a smaller crown on it that what he had pictured. It seems to be a crown from a datjust or similar watch. Just a line underneath the logo, no three dot pattern. It is a good bit narrower too. SO I was wondering if a regular sub/daytona size crown would fit on the watch. Main concern is the crown tube. Not sure if this would be the same size for the two different size crowns. Anybody know?

Thanks

Yes, i took off a crown off of a Sub I had laying around and the tube is smaller than the 7mm crown. So now I need a Crown and tube unless the dealer sorts this out which he should. The watch is clearly different than one pictured in his ad and quite ridiculous looking.

By the way dealer is stepping up and handling this issue like a pro, so far.

The watch is beautiful, just the crown is way too small. Probally a screw up by the factory I'd guess.

I have a similar Paul Newman with the same crown, I'm no expert on Daytonas but I'm pretty sure they should have the larger crown.. Mines got a dead movement so not really fused what it looks like at the moment but when the movement is sorted I am going to fit a Large crown and tube.

Judging by the case and sub-dial hands (they are too fat).. Yours came from the same place as mine..
