montydog
Hello all, After exhaustive research into the Seamaster 300M and consideration of the Planet Ocean, I thought it was just a decision between the chrono or non-chrono version of this: But then on the silixprime site I find this: described as a seamaster 44.5mm with blue face and blue bezel but as far as can see, without the wavy bits on the face, with the asian 7750 for $150USD (

who
Unless Omega start to make the PO Chronograph in blue color at 08,09...etc. Until then that one is a fantasy model. If you like blue....get the SMP.
Zed
Definitely the Blue SMP Chrono 300M , I can't take it off ever since I bought mine ... I like it so much I might just buy the Gen .. Zed
chubbchubb
Blue is not an official color choice (afaik). PO Chronos come with black dial (and optional orange numbers on either black or orange bezelinserts and corresponding pusher rings). The one pictured is not the latest available model of the POC (the date is not turned
Fireman_Fred
As far as I know, yes, the blue Planet Ocean Chrono is a fantasy watch. If anyone knows differently, I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but as far as I know, it is a fantasy model... From what I have read in other threads, the blue PO (chrono/non chrono) is a fantasy watch but, strangely enough, I actually quite like the look of it .... I like the look of it too, it's certainly something I'd actually wear, but, I'm not a fan of fantasy watches in terms of things I'd wear in public, as that is the biggest 'tell' of all. A project watch is one thing, as that's something personally put together from existing parts, but, to wear a watch that has never been in production, sorry, but someone'd need Bill Gates' bank balance to pull off a fantasy watch as something they had the company made for them, which is pretty much the only passable explanation for a fantasy watch
b16a2
The blue is indeed a fantasy watch, but it does look nice! I have the SMP Chrono, and it is one of the best watches I have ever bought. It's really very good, and a must for any rep collector! The Planet Ocean chrono looks great in black too if you want a rep that's not a 'fantasy' model.
