Tom
I'm looking down at my wrist admiring my new 45mm Navitimer World and I can't for the life of me work out what the long hand with the red arrow on the end is for (at 10 O'Clock in the image)? It can be moved using the crown and isn't anything to do with the chrono. I've tried to find out on the internet but to no avail - please help a Breitling virgin. Pugwash
It's a GMT (24-hour) hand, hence the 'world' in the name.
jkerouac
Use it to set/track the time in a second time zone, say if you are traveling or simply want to know what time it is in a different part of the world. Next to a date function, GMTs are my favorite complication because, unlike chronos, I actually use them.
