The French Election Result

Following the French elections, even from afar, I was really struck by how the electorate came around to Sarkozy.. honestly up until the time of the run-off, i never thought he had a chance.

Interesting too that the turnout was around 85%. In the US we are fortunate when we break 55%. I really think that is disgraceful.
