Tribal
Just read - it'sa 11.5 Ligne movement which should drop in directly. What makes me worry is the height. 5.95mm versus 5.05 mm of teh 2836-2 - that'sa nice difference. Did you turn down the rehaut? Hi Olli I found a small screw to release the stem.... But you are right with the height of the movement, thats a new problem I won`t grind down the rehaut,it is not worth... Maybe i find a other way,the installed datewheel is damm thick... I think to grind it down a little bit,i give it a try....
Tribal
I see that the original datewheel has a rather wide clearance from the base plate. So - if you would grind down the AS datewheel to mae it sit almost flush with the basepalte, you have better chances fitting the gen datewheel on top - by grinding it down too. You can come by the higher movement with a smaller height on the datewheel sandwich construction. This will give you at max 0.3-0.4mm compared to 2836-2 equipped with fat spacer ring. There is still a lot missing here. My bet would be the dial if you won't go for teh rehaut. Rehaut down-turning is the best solution - second would be grinding the dial base down to the half. Yepp you are right, but i think finding an AS 1903 is the better solution, let the hunt begin...
