bbell6
What is the major difference in these watch cases (other than price)? Universal Case Opener - http://www.watchmaterial.com/viewitem.asp?...eRange=0x999999 Bergeon Case Opener - http://www.watchmaterial.com/viewitem.asp?...eRange=0x999999
evildee
I would guess the Bergeon is made in Swiss.

jdavis
Essentially the same type tools that will function the same manner. Bergeon tools are made in Switzerland and are universally known for their quality of materials, engineering tolerances and finishing. If you are a professional and will be using this tool frequently over a long period of time than the Bergeon tool would be justified. If you are a hobbyist and will use the tool for personal use, the Universal tool should serve your needs well. Think of the Bergeon as the genuine and the Universal as the replica. predfan2001
Make sure the opener you buy suits you needs. The universals usually won't work on an Oyster (Rolex) case. I have a Bergeon style Oyster case opener like this: See opener I also have your standard hand held adjustable opener. Between the two of these I've been able to remove any case back I've needed to. Although you really can't beat a tape ball to get an Oyster case back off-with NO damage or tool marks.
