jfreeman420 Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 This is really a simple thing and being that i am a nit picking watch collector I noticed that when you click on a link in a post in now takes you that page in the same window if it is a link to another post in the forum. The outside links still open in a separate window, but is there any way to make all links open in a new window without right clicking? Is it my browser setting or the board setting. I apologize for this post but it is annoying me.
Pugwash Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 I apologize for this post but it is annoying me. I like it. There's no need for multiple windows.
omega1 Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Just right click on the link and select "open in new window". EDIT: Nevermind, just noticed you said without right clicking.
section8 Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 I ctrl click most links to open them in a new tab
Jumbie Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 Not a solution for this board specifically but, perhaps even better, Firefox browser and the TabMixPlus (TMP) extension can control exactly how your links open. You can have all open in a new tab/window or the same tab/window or have external links open in a new tab/window or...you get the picture. I love it cause I have it set up so that when I right-click, I can select the link to either open in the foreground i.e. be active, by default or in the background for when I want to open multiple links on the same page e.g. from a search, and then get to them when I'm ready.
piratedzeus Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 I click my mouse wheel and have often like 2000 tabs open ;P
