viper
Hi All, I bought these 2 asian movement SuperOceans 2 weeks ago, and having spent some time with them, my mini review: The blue dial on bracelet was my initial choice, and when I went to pick it up from my local collector, I saw the black dial on leather strap, that was it. I bought both and am now a happy camper. The good - Timekeeping is quite good, case materials top-notch. Water resistance holds up to washing/rinsing. Bracelet is acceptable and comfy. Leather strap is very nice, very money. Bezel clicks nice and solid too. Date clicks at 11.59. The not-so-good - Minute hands for both sloping a little upwards. 12 o'clock marker has some residue (glue?). Bezel a bit off. All in all, I can live with the small imperfections. The rep makers has done nice work on this model, I used to avoid Breitling reps 2 years ago, now my impression has changed with this model, and will be saving up for the Super Chrono Avenger. Thanks for reading! Edited June 2, 2007 by viper

dak244
Love the watch! The one thing that bothers me about spending so much on this rep is that the gen is only $1800
beanyboy
Nice watches. Sometimes off price Asians are just what the doctor ordered. Gotta love the fact, though, that the manufacturers are finally giving Breitling its due. B
cableguy
how is the AR on the Asian reps? I was looking at this just now on Trusty's site and it doesn't say there is AR on it. only on the ETA version. But I'm not gonna spend 360 for a rep. cableguy
damm.....the AR really makes the watch i think.... I have to choose between the UPO and the Blue Dial SOSF so hard to choose.

Yes, no AR unfortunately on the Asian movement reps, and mineral glass too on both of my reps. I opened up to see the movement, and it was quite a well made Asian movement ticking inside. The material of the movement is the solid, sturdy, well-put together type, not the cheapo auto movements we normally find on $60 reps. I wear each of them on alternate days, and am now considering the white dial version as well. These 2 are my first Breitling reps that I'm 99% happy with. The UPO is a great looking watch too!
