Alan_Schezar
Hello, recently, my clasp broke and I was wondering if any had any advice... The tab fell out one day, and I put it back in, and it seemed to stay in for a while, but then it fell out again and I can't find it. Currently, the only way I can get the watch off of my wrist is to carry around a paper clip to push in the spring and release the clasp. Maybe I could buy another clasp, but how would I install it? Thanks in advance,
PAMman
I have had more hassle with mine than any other component - it's just a POS. Chuck it out with the trash.
Polynomial
Seems to you out to get yourself a new deployant -- these are usually good quality, I have 4 and none broke...so far...
Watchmeister
Just buy a new one. They are readily available and not particularly expensive. And for the record, the gens are not particularly better. Of a half a dozen PAM deployants the only one that broke was the gen.
ximenes
yeah, whenever you get a new one of these deployments you should check it closely by pulling/wiggling the push pins to see if they fall out. If they are inclined to do so tap on the tang that overhangs the pushpin with a pin punch and a hammer. It won't take much and they will stay in thereafter. Highflyingclive
Just throw it out and fit a tang buckle. The deployant, in my opinion, is both ugly and uncomfortable. Here is a nicely engraved PVD tang that I received from Davidsen recently: Much prettier than the deployant.
