P4GTR
My father is looking at a blue TT sub. I like this watch, but I wouldn't want it for myself (not that it was for me to begin with.). Are there better places then others to shop for a gen?

I like this watch, but I wouldn't want it for myself (not that it was for me to begin with.). Are there better places then others to shop for a gen? Best place to shop for a Rolex is careful shopping among lightly used pieces on ebay. Rolex has a policy of not discounting prices among its official distributors so you wont see any "Rolex Sales" at your local jewelers. For pieces other than Rolex, no better more discounted bargains than Zeetans place at http://www.collectorstime.com/.
rag9fx
not completely true ... the dealers buy the watches at list and then mark up to retail ... so there is a margin there from which you can negotiate ... i have never bought a brand new gen Rollie from a dealer for asking/ sticker price... TwoTone
Depends on where you are located... I'm in the US and have found the best prices on Rollies in the Caribbean... More apt to discount as well... Of course you to visit there... TT
