Kollektor
In the post about the San Francisco mayor's watch, Gunner Gran posted a piece about the history of the Sant 100 with a picture of a two-tone model. I'm curious to know if any of the models came with the trademark patterned dial--the one pictured looks flat white, just as the chrono is a flat whitish silver, sans patterns. Was there ever a Sant*s 100 model produced with a patterned dial? Just wondering...
deltatahoe
i'm not a cartier expert, but i don't believe the santos 100 (a fairly recently released watch -- i think in 2000?) has ever had a patterned dial....

I have a feeling you are right. My ETA 100 is stunning, but with a patterned dial it is probably a fantasy model.
deltatahoe
if you purchased this recently, i'd contact your dealer and see if they will give you a white (un-patterned) dial..... deltatahoe
new & improved osteopath
You are correct- there has never been a Gen sanos 100, standard, chrono, or otherwise with a patterned dial. I am now going to get back in line to wait for my iPhone... -O
Kollektor
Bummer. Here's a pic of the dial--very nice actually. Couldn't capture the sharpness of the face with the quickie photo setup. Second pic is the 100 next to the chrono (thanks again for the recommendation--the chrono is a keeper)
new & improved osteopath
The Santos 100 chrono w 7753 is by far, the best rep I own, or have ever owned. Glad you are enjoying yours. -O

Best hands down. It also has the most character. Just need to get a new strap on there some day...
new & improved osteopath
The OEM alligator instills confidence in repelling the 'call out' factor. Have had this on my wrist next to a two tone in AD and felt no compunction whatsoever about the quality. -O

I wanted the honey brown, but he only seems to have black and ostrich. :-(
deltatahoe
I wonder if HK's could stand the tell test... based on the pictures i've seen (i haven't had one in my hands), i think hktan's santos 100 straps actually look BETTER than the oem straps... deltatahoe
