V Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Well What you prefer most? Having in mind that this watch is a protype and I am not gonna pass it as a genuine (I never try to pass any of my reps as genuine but anyway..) Clean look or with the Panerai on it? Please vote as this was your own project... If you believe the name Panerai gives the watch the 'status' you can vote for the second choice. If you believe this should be clean because Panerai didn't normally produced this watch anyway vote for the first. Please vote to help me decide...
ubiquitous Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 (edited) Clean, unsigned dial gets my vote.... Kinda like a semi-hommage to the 3646... Edited April 27, 2006 by ubiquitous
Guest overboosted Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Normally I would say Panerai all the way. But if you plan on producing this, I would like to buy one without the writing. Kind of a base base. Neat idea!
V Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 Producing???? No it will be one and only.. Mine all mine....
jkerouac Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 How about a third option, coming up with your own logo -- a Veni 1 Commemorative perhaps?
chris5264 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I would absolutely go generic. This is just my opinion but I don't think the letters and brand name on any watch dial adds to the overal aesthetics of the dial.

chris5264 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I'm doing the exact watch but in SS, I'm just waiting on my movement from Davidsen, the one with the longer CP...IMO the recessed pin looks even worse on a base model. How are you dealing with the recessed pin?

How are you dealing with the recessed pin? base models is an easy fix.. Finepics is shortening the minute hand.. simple Although it doesn't show very well in this photo recessed pin has been fixed in my base 210
V Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 Wow... 67 people have seen my topic and only 6 voted... Is it so ugly you cannot decide which is worse??
