My Steelfish fortunately has proven to be waterresistant... but if I had taken my Silix PO 007 with "extra $$ for waterproofing" to the test - without first tightening the caseback myself another 1.5 turns..... I was never sure about PAM reps being waterproof. yes the pams are really good, but you have to know, my watchmaker change always the rep crowns to the palp crowns. i have no trust with the pam spring-crowns. a palp crown and a rework with the crown-guard and lever brings more pressure at the crown and gasket. rolli Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Glad I never bought off him. even with this kind of test you should subtract 10% from this value, for safeness. 1000m that is a lie. watches for 1000m real scuba diving have a totally other watch construction. you have real tritium glass tubule in ths watches. with the normal lume or superlume you see nothing. the rest light in the first 10-15m under water does'nt work. very problematically for a watch is always the first meters under water. i would never diving or swimming with a watch when i have not testing this watch before. when a watch is not 100% waterproof it can always be that water comes in. with gen watches you have guarantee from the factories. and you should change the gaskets each year, minimum. each watchmaker has this kind of machine, this test it needs 3-5 minutes, and the price $5,--. i hope the member have understand this. rolli Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
