gregers
I can't get the stem back into a 7750 so it's a reasonable assumption that I've gummed up the keyless works. There are lots of excellent visual tutorials around on how to do this for ETA's, but I've not been able to find anything specific for the 7750. Has anybody come across something to help me with this. They might be very similar jobs but it would be much safer to have the exact methodology to hand. Thanks.

The reason I'm asking is that you can't pop the keyless works like on a 2836. When I've had trouble putting a stem back in it's been because the movement wasn't 100% aligned in the case. Oh, and you can push quite hard on the spring pin compared to a 2836.
gregers
That's a pretty reasonable supposition, Pug, particularly as the movement came without its securing screws and is therefore never perfectly aligned. However, I don't think so as I can get it most of the way in but I can feel obvious resistance when I try to turn it. Oh, and the rotor has just dropped off... again. Wonderful QC. gregers
Oh, and if I have to tell you why I was taking the movt. out you'll get a real rant about Q.C.
NaviChief
It can be tricky to get to the keyless works because you have to remove a plate and get through the chrono motion works, including making sure it gets back together in perfect alignment. The only breakdown I have seen is the technical documents on the 7750 from ETA themselves. Which actually shows very clearly how everything is put together. It can be downloaded from the ETA website. NaviChief
Try this, hxxps://secure.eta.ch/CSP/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=3&tabid=28 then search for 7750. The direct link wouldn't work.
